I jumped into my car yesterday morning and headed south of Las Vegas to a quaint town called Boulder City. I heard there was a public park there where Big Horn Sheep came down from who knows where to graze. I didn't plan on hitting the road, but circumstances at home and with the ex got a hold of me, and I simply had to get away. I go wherever the road takes me, and it took me to Hemenway Park in Boulder City. God, do I love the open road!
FYI, yesterday's mini-road trip was my first solo trip in a very long time. Once I get my car in tip top shape, I'm straying farther from home.
Also, the Big Horn Sheep were magnificent and beautiful. I sat on a bench several feet away from the sheep and enjoyed the view. In that moment, my troubles went away as I was caught up in the surreal experience of it all. It was definitely a sight to see!
